BuyMeASaaS

The marketplace where small SaaS businesses find new owners.

Why It Exists

Small SaaS products die quietly. Not because they fail, but because their founders move on — a new job, a new idea, a life change — and shutting down feels easier than selling. We kept watching good, profitable, small products disappear when someone else would have happily carried them forward.

BuyMeASaaS exists so that a small piece of working software always has a path to a second life.

The Problem

Acquiring a micro-SaaS was painful in both directions:

  • Sellers had no credible place to list a business making a few hundred or a few thousand dollars a month. Big brokerages ignored them; forums attracted tire-kickers.
  • Buyers had no way to trust what they were looking at. Revenue screenshots, churn claims, and "it basically runs itself" pitches with nothing behind them.

The Build

We started deliberately small: a listing board with honest, structured data — revenue range, stack, churn, reason for selling — and a manual review step before anything went live. No payment escrow in v1. No fancy tooling. The bet was that trust beats features in an early marketplace.

That bet held. The structured listing format turned out to be the product: it forced sellers to prepare real numbers, and it gave buyers a comparable, scannable format instead of marketing prose.

What We Learned

  • Marketplaces are curation businesses. The product is the quality bar, not the software around it.
  • Structured data is a feature. The same listing, forced into a schema, is more trustworthy than free-text marketing copy.
  • Two-sided cold start is real. We seeded supply first — quality sellers — and buyers followed.

Current State

Live and growing. BuyMeASaaS continues to focus on the small end of the market that bigger platforms ignore.

Frequently asked questions

What is BuyMeASaaS?

A marketplace for buying and selling small SaaS businesses. Listings are structured — revenue range, stack, churn, and reason for selling — and reviewed by a human before going live.

How are listings verified?

Every listing goes through manual review and must present structured data — revenue range, churn, and technical stack — before it appears on the site.

How much does it cost?

Browsing listings is free. Seller terms are shown during the listing process; every listing is manually reviewed before publication.

Why sell a micro-SaaS instead of shutting it down?

Small products with real users and revenue often have buyers looking for exactly that. Selling gives the product a second life and the founder a fair exit.
